What is Ho’okipa?
“to enable a visitation to occur" or "to be hospitable" often characterized by great emotional expression or sincerity. Hawaiian hospitality, in which visitors are greeted, hosted and made to feel welcome in Hawaiian culture, is considered to be one of the truest principles of the Hawaiian way of life. The relationship between aloha and ho'okipa are akin, where hospitality flows from an outpouring of aloha first. Ho'okipa is not just limited to a greeting, but evokes a deep feeling of connection as well. We are looking forward to hosting you and your colleagues with Aloha! E komo Mai ! (Welcome!)
